The grade of all players on the winning team is more likely to increase. The higher each individual player places, the more their grade will increase.
The grade of all players on the losing team is more likely to decrease. The lower each individual player places, the more their grade will decrease.
Since each player's grade factors in to the calculation for how much their particular gauge increases or decreases, each player's gauge may not increase or decrease the same amount every race.
